‘Tis the season for giving, and this holiday season, the Chalkstar to Rockstar podcast is having a very special holiday episode that you can get in on.
Back in August, TechSmith Education announced a new weekly podcast titled Chalkstar to Rockstar: Revolutionary Ideas in Learning. We launched the show in September and have had an educator share their story of growth and innovation every Wednesday. The audience has grown quickly and we’ve had a chance to talk with some amazing people.
I know a lot of teachers pay for classroom supplies out of pocket because I had to do it myself. I also know that this time of year is when paper is running out and tissues disappear faster than cookies in the teacher’s lounge. So, Chalkstar to Rockstar wants to gift a teacher this season with a $100 gift card for classroom supplies. The winner will be announced in a special podcast episode on Christmas Day.
I could use $100. How do I enter?
I’m glad you asked. To enter, we want you to tell us a story. You can do it in a blog post, on our Facebook or Google+ page, or on a napkin (just send us a picture). What would an extra $100 mean to you? How would you use it? What benefit would it have to your students? We’re not looking for manifestos, but we want to know what change you’d make with some extra cash. The deadline for entry is 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 22. Head on over to the TechSmith Facebook post or the Google+ post to enter. We will only be taking submissions from those two places.
How do I know if I win?
We’ll be announcing the winner on Christmas Day in a special episode of Chalkstar to Rockstar. There are three great ways to listen: our EdReach Channel page, our iTunes feed, or on Stitcher radio. Head on over to one now to listen to past episodes and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the announcement. In that episode, I’ll be giving specific instructions on how to claim your prize if you’re selected, so be sure to listen!
