A Brief Interview with Cory:
What are you looking forward to most at EDUCAUSE?
I’m looking forward to in-person conversations with peers who, like some of us at the University of Colorado Boulder, are wrestling with the challenges and possibilities of massive, open courseware. I believe we are nearing the tipping point where decades of promises of educational transformation through technology could become a reality. My sense is that massive, open courseware is a small but important piece of a larger democratization of education on par with the invention of the printing press. I look forward to sharing that enthusiasm with others working to similar ends and intents.
If you could watch one presentation at EDUCAUSE, which one would it be?
I’d love to attend a presentation telling me what presentations I should attend at Educause. Honestly, launching four Coursera courses on top of our normal day jobs has left those of us involved in the project writing notes to remind us to brush our teeth. I haven’t even opened the program yet.
