An Interview with Jeremy
Question: How did you get started at TechSmith?
Answer: I started at TechSmith in the fall of 2009 as a Product Management intern during my MBA program at Michigan State and became full-time in the spring of 2010.
Question: How do you see TechSmith tools helping educators?
Answer: TechSmith’s tools help educators by doing two things: Empowering and enabling teachers to talk in a language their students are used to talking in, image and video. Using TSC tools, students can now have more access to teachers and lessons. It also empowers teachers to have more tools in their teaching tool box to enable student success. It empower students with another way to learn (by teaching). Students today have a lot of media flying at them and being able to engage with educational content that is in a form they interact with on a regular basis can be a huge advantage.
Question: What would you like for those who come to your presentation to take away?
Answer: Takeaways would be
• How our TechSmith’s existing technologies enable education trends (flipped, kids teaching kids, etc).
• How our latest mobile app is a great introduction and can start educators and students on the path to embracing these trends.
