As the TechSmith Education stone gathers moss, we’re always looking for new ways to partner with teachers and organizations committed to the promotion and empowerment of education. I am extremely excited to announce the new partnership between TechSmith Education and the EdReach Network as we bring you a brand new TechSmith podcast beginning this fall: Destination: Chalkstars to Rockstars – Revolutionary Ideas in Learning.
As a former teacher, I’ll be hosting this weekly show, highlighting awesome educators doing innovative and powerful things with technology in their classrooms. The show is learning-centered, not TechSmith centered. Each week, we’ll highlight a teacher (or two…or three…) and tell their story of how using technology as an integral part in learning has transformed their classrooms. As a follow up to each story, we’ll also have a challenge, directly from the teachers, of things to consider as you navigate the digital world.
Who will you be hearing?
Our goal is to bring in teachers who innovate in their classes and schools. Some might be names you recognize, while others might be people you’ve never heard of. Just as a teaser, we have Michigan’s Google Glass Explorer, teachers who began their own school in six months, and two college professors that want to enter the 5th dimension of teaching and learning (whatever that means – bet you can’t wait to find out). We’re shooting for variety and interesting stories, so you’ll have to subscribe to hear more.
How do you listen?
The show will be available every week on Wednesdays starting on September 4th for free! You can stream or download each episode directly from our channel on EdReach, listen on Stitcher radio, or subscribe to the forthcoming iTunes feed for automatic downloads.
