Are you a power user of TechSmith products? Or perhaps you’re not a power user, but you would love to learn more and get rewarded for it? We invite you to join the TechSmith Community today!
What is the TechSmith Community?
We have a wonderful community of users who help each other out with questions, share new ideas, and make suggestions for product improvements and features. Anyone who buys, tries, or knows about our products can benefit from this community.
What exactly is a Champion?
Currently we are holding open auditions for people who want to help us moderate this community and we want YOU to try out! Members achieve “Champion” status when they make a large contribution and fill an informal leadership role. Champs respond to how-to questions, share what they’ve learned from using TechSmith products, and help people find resources that exist on our site such as tech support FAQs and product tutorials.
You will not be the front line of tech support and you will not be responsible for troubleshooting error reports, requesting customer project files, or other details with our customers. You will just share your expertise and knowledge of the products and leave the technical stuff to us!
What’s in it for me?
Once you get to Champion status, you will be awarded a Champ badge which shows the rest of the Community that you’re a Pro. Additionally, you will be eligible for cool swag, prizes, and chances to meet up with TechSmithies in person!
You will also be supplied with a direct line of communication with TechSmith employees so that you can ask questions and bounce ideas around with us. You may even get early chances to preview or try out beta software before it’s released to the public!
Sounds great! How do I become a Champion?
Your first step will be to visit our Community and create a login (you have the option to use your existing Facebook, Google, or Twitter account…or create a new Get Satisfaction identity). After that, it’s simple! Just begin interacting, answering “how do I” questions, or referring people to resources that you find on TechSmith sites such as our tutorials, Tech Support area and blog posts.
We will be looking out for those who are interacting several times a week, those who are staying positive, and upholding our online community guidelines. If you’re feeling good about your contribution to the community and want to make sure we notice, please leave a comment on this post with a link to your community profile!
