Think back 25 years ago. It was 1987. What were you doing? TechSmith was just getting started and opened its doors in 1987… 25 years ago today, on February 28th.
Technology has changed!
Think about all the technology that has come and gone in 25 years. Computers were running Windows 2.0 in 1987. The Macintosh SE had just been released. The World Wide Web wasn’t even around until 1990! It’s hard to imagine a time before that. The first release of Snagit came in 1991, Camtasia was released in 1999, Morae in 2004, Jing in 2007, Camtasia Relay and Camtasia for Mac in 2009, Snagit on Mac in 2010, and Coach’s Eye in 2011.

And, this past year has also proved to be momentous for us. We hit $50 million in revenue for 2012 at TechSmith, and our software is being used by 10 million people in 160 countries! But none of this would be possible without you. We owe it all to you and our users. THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts! We couldn’t have gotten here without you.
