I am on Camtasia Studio 8.0.2, and when I check for updates, it always tells me I’m on the latest version. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Michael – I’m sorry it’s not seeing there’s a new version available. You can also close Camtasia Studio, download the latest version, and install it over the top of your old version.

Downloading now . . . thanks for the direction.

When are you guys gonna make a Camtasia for Linux?

The new 8.03 is really cool. Thanks for the upgrade. I was just wondering if you have done anything to improve the background sound removal tool. It is probably me but I wish it was easier to use and that it would do a better job of removing background sound. I may just not understand how to use it correctly and if that is the case then please forgive this note.

Nice upgrades – plus, the video pacing was perfect for this tutorial – to the point – a perfect show & tell – nice job!
I have an observation find of interest – the background music for the voice-over could have been a little lower – but a nice choice of music. :-)

  • ThinkTransformation

Very nicely done – flexibility and time saving is what it’s all about – reducing complexitiy of use. Kudos – very impressive!

Thank you thank you, TechSmith! I use Camtasia to record training videos and have been a huge fan for a long time. I wanted the new bells & whistles in 8 and was so frustrated with things like audio editing that had degraded from previous versions and were making C8 difficult to use. I’m using 8.0.3 now and it’s fantastic — exactly what I’ve come to expect of your products over many year. Thanks for fixing things up.
