Tech-tastrophe – Save Yourself From Presentation Tech Failures with Betsy’s Tech Presentation Failure Prevention Tips

It's that time of year... conference season! That means I'm on the road and giving demos as well as watching a lot of presentations. As a presenter, I do a lot of work before I get in front the audience to safety-proof my presentation. I don't want to flounder on stage, especially if I can prevent it. This week, I'm attending O'Reilly's Velocity Conference in London. It's been a great event, and I had a good reminder during the Keynote presentation yesterday about why I do all the prep work Continue reading

Screenchump to Screenchamp Review 4: Focus Viewers’ Attention

One of the challenges of creating video is that it’s hard to judge your own work. You make something, fall in love with it, and then changing it becomes difficult at best. In order to help everyone make better videos, we set out on this idea: what if we loaned our expertise and reviewed our customers' videos in the same way we would review our own videos and gave them some screencasting tips? So that’s exactly what we’ve done… We asked all of you to send us videos that you want help on. Continue reading

How to Convert Video to MP3 Using Camtasia Studio

Whether you’re a podcaster, teacher, or speaker, you may be interested in getting more value from your content by extracting the audio from a video file. Podcasts are still alive and well, and the rise in prevalence of smart phones has only helped fuel more growth. According to a study conducted by Edison Research in 2012, 29% of adults have listened to an audio podcast, up from only 11% in 2006. A quarter of podcast listeners report listening to podcasts in the car with their smartphones connected Continue reading

ScreencastCamper Profiles 2013: Lori Banaszak

Get happy: TechSmith's annual ScreencastCamp is just a month away! Can you believe it?! One of the coolest things about ScreencastCamp is that it brings together people who may not otherwise have an opportunity to meet. It's a can't-miss chance to get to know people with similar interests, and to learn something new! As an intro to camp, it's important to us to get to know more about our attendees - both for our own sake, and that of other attendees! After all, it is YOU who will make the conference Continue reading
