From flat to phat: New Camtasia feature drops the needle on screencasts

TechSmith has never been an organization to shy away from innovation and being on the cutting edge. Sometimes this is a blessing, because it gives our customers access to amazing tools, features and opportunities. Other times, we’re just too early to market and we’ve solved problems that haven’t been recognized as problems yet. At the end of the day, we keep pushing forward, because we want to make amazing products that help you communicate and educate in better ways, especially visually. With Continue reading

TechSmith Fuse App Commercial Leaks onto Internet

The TechSmith Fuse app does a lot of things. It instantly brings your smartphone photos and video directly into Snagit and Camtasia and uploads your video to TechSmith Relay with the touch of a button. I guess you could say it "fuses together" the entire suite of TechSmith apps. Do you see what we did there? Cool. (tweet this) Always Ahead of the Times... As a cutting-edge tech company, TechSmith has always tried to be ahead of the curve. When we developed the TechSmith Fuse app in the early Continue reading

Seeing Green: Michigan State, The Rose Bowl and TechSmith

2013 was an awesome year for TechSmith. No, we're not just talking about the release of Snagit for Chrome, Coach's Eye for Windows 8.1, and Google Drive integration for Snagit and Camtasia. We're talking about how Michigan State University went all the way and won the 100th Rose Bowl! MSU finished with an impressive 13-1 record, leaving their mark as a force to be reckoned with in college football. Not many companies can claim an entire sports organization as their own, but here at TechSmith, we Continue reading

TechSmithies Provide Food for Families in Need

Throughout the month of November, TechSmithies have been collecting food and money for The Greater Lansing Food Bank. The GLFB is a regional food bank that partners with multiple support agencies and food pantries around our hometown of Okemos, Michigan. While we have done food drives in the past, we had no clue how successful this year would be. The drive lasted three weeks, starting at the beginning of November. To give the food drive a boost, we decided to host a little competition between Continue reading

Screencasting Saves Crafters Time, Confusion with Die-Cutting Tools

Darla Haverstock is a lifelong crafter, mother of two and designated “Gadget Girl” in her town on the east coast of Canada. She’s spent years learning the ins and outs of die-cutting software and hardware, which can be as complex and as tedious as you want them to be. Darla decided to make life a little easier for fellow and aspiring crafters alike by sharing her knowledge through classes at a local craft store and online with the help of YouTube and Camtasia. Lifelong crafter Darla Continue reading

TechSmithies Run (Even When They Aren’t Being Chased)

I’m probably not the best person to be writing this post. Truth be told, I don’t like to exercise. Like, at all. However, my fellow TechSmithies seem to love it. So we brought you Coach’s Eye. While Coach’s Eye is meant for any sport, we love to see the videos about proper running form, a particular form of torture exercise that TechSmithies seem to enjoy. Here are a couple great examples of runners using the app: Recently, I was asked by our Marketing Research Analyst Stephanie Continue reading
