As we prepare each episode of the Forge we kick around a lot of ideas. For the month of November we decided we wanted to focus on education. There are so many opportunities to use visuals, screenshots, and screencasts in the education fields. Our next episode is Thursday, November 8th at 2PM EDT.

Coming this Episode…
We’re talking with James Gill (@jagill). James is an educator in Vancouver Canada. James has been helping to integrate technology into his school. James says, “My mission is to serve the teachers of my district, and to remove boundaries between where we are now as educators and where we dream of being.” Learn how he’s working to make that mission get accomplished.
We’re also going to be talking with some of our Coach’s Eye team about how mobile apps are changing the landscape in education.
Finally, Haley Carwile from TechSmith’s Academic Team will be joining us to talk about six common problems educators face and ways we’ve learned educators are working through them with TechSmith tools. For instance, how do you avoid a groundhog day scenario? Are you answering the same questions over and over? We’ll go through one or two ways to minimize how you can avoid having groundhog’s day over and over, along with five other challenges.
So whether you’re working in K -12, Higher Education, or even outside of education but interested in helping people learn, we hope you’ll join us on Thursday, November 8th at 2 PM (Eastern Time). We’ll create a new post with the streaming video next Thursday. If you can’t make the live show, no worries, we’ll post the recording here and on YouTube as soon as we can.
