Create Supplemental Written Content from your Snagit Video

If you create training materials, you know that people learn differently. To reach a wider audience, you can include both video and written content for your learner with one Snagit video recording.

In this example I used the saving a document in Microsoft Word. Start by recording the process you want to capture using Snagit’s Video Capture. Once you have your video recorded and displayed in the Snagit Editor you can begin creating your screen captures for your written content.

First, use the slider to locate the exact point in the video you want to capture.
Then, use the Capture Frame button  to capture the screen in the video you would like to see in your written content.

Snagit places an image of that frame in the editor. From there you can add callouts, text, arrows or do any needed editing to your image. Finally paste all your images into your training document. Now your video and images display exactly the same steps for your audience and you only had to perform the process once.
