Turn ANY Snagit 11 Image into a Camtasia Studio 8 Callout!

It is quick and easy to turn any image in Snagit Editor into a custom callout in Camtasia Studio 8.

Here are the basic instructions:

  1. From Snagit Editor, click the Share tab. Click the Camtasia Studio 8 output button. (Or, in Camtasia Studio, click the Import Media button and open an existing image.)
  2. The image is now in the Camtasia Studio clip bin. Drag the image to the timeline.
  3. To add text, double-click it. The Callout task page appears for text editing.
  4. Further customize the callout using Shadow, Color, and other options in the Visual Properties tab.

Kelly, excellent stuff as usual! Great that you are covering so many ways to add Camtasia Callouts using Snagit :)

I think this is a very important area because the use of images in Camtasia videos is just as important as the use of videos in my opinion.

You touch it in your videos, but I think it’s important to stress that if you are working in HD or Full HD with Camtasia it is important that the imported callouts are large as they scale down nicely, but doesn’t always scale up in a good way.

PS. I love how you add images to the Snagit callouts. Very nice touch!
