Customize and Automate Your Snagit Capture Process

A Snagit customer, Pete, asked how he could get Snagit to resize his images automatically. He frequently needs his images to be exactly 480×480 pixels, and wants to find a way to avoid manually resizing his images every time he takes a capture. Fortunately for Pete, and you, Snagit gives a lot of options for customizing your images before you even click the Capture button. Even better, you can use the Capture Profile function to save any combination of these settings to use over and over again at the click of a button.

In the following video, I give an overview of the different ways you can customize your Snagit Captures using the Capture Type, Share, and Effects settings available in the Snagit Capture Window. To get you started playing with these settings, I demonstrate two of the Capture Type settings (Free Hand and Multiple Area Capture) and give you an idea of what you can do with the Share and Effects settings. At the end, I show you how to solve Pete’s problem by creating a new Capture Profile. I’ve included a table of contents just in case you want to skip to a specific part of the video.

Hi Cait… Thank you so much for your instant reply.. Actually i wanted to take a screenshot of an application on my desktop and add it to the image of PC, MAC and mobile.. You can see the image as an example under “make the ultimate upgrade to mac section” in the link “http://www.apple.com/mac/”.. As u see here there are 3 different machine images.. i need to accomodate a screenshot in all the three images and save them as a single image… So that i can place this in my website saying i can develop this app in all the machines including mobile… Is there any way where i can take the screenshots of my application in different sizes and place them in these images.. I hope i am making sense :) . Can you please assist me regarding the same.
