Use Snagit to Create “Unexpected Art”

It’s Autumn here in Michigan and the tree colors are spectacular this year! On my way into work each day I pass a lot of roadside farm stands selling pumpkins, corn shocks, and gourds. I was feeling a bit inspired this week to turn a few autumn images into some “unexpected art” and I thought I would share my technique with you. Once you learn this simple technique, you can incorporate other Snagit Filters and Effects to make your own version of “unexpected art”!

What I call unexpected art is an image that contains other images or elements you would normally not see together. A peculiar little “something” you may not notice at first that might cause your viewers to do a double-take.

For example, in the following image you see a running horse against the backdrop of the red-orange leaf:Running Horse in Leaf

Or, this gourd that contains a gourd vine nestled amongst its spots:

In the following video, I’ll show you how to create this image:

Thanks Kelly. I find these videos really useful and I’m learning a lot about Snagit’s abilities and how to use it. Keep up the great work.
